South Metro Structure Fire

At Approximately 18:20 on June 16th, 2021 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a report of a residential fire in the 4000 block of S. Hudson Way in Cherry Hills Village. Battalion Chief 3 upgraded the call to a working fire after callers reported smoke from the front of the residence. Engine 38 arrived on scene and confirmed a light haze showing from the front of the residence with all parties evacuated. Engine 38 laid into a hydrant and put an 1 3/4 line in service for fire attack on the Alpha side. Crews located a small fire in the basement that was quickly knocked down and most of the response was cancelled.
