Colorado Springs Structure Fire
At approximately 09:00 on January 12th, 2021 Colorado Springs Fire Department was dispatched to the 2800 block of N. Nevada Ave. at Johnny’s Navajo Hogan for a possible structure fire. Colorado Springs Public Safety Communications Center advised the RP is the chef and that a dryer was on fire in the basement. AMR Medic 25 was first on scene and reported smoke coming out of the Charlie side of the structure, Battalion 1 then upgraded to a working fire. PIO 52 shortly after arrived on scene and established command. Engine 6 was assigned fire attack and pulled a 1 3/4 attack line and proceeded to the basement. Engine 9 arrived and stretched a dual 3 inch supply lines to the nearest plug at Polk St. After the fire was extinguished, crews began to overhaul and continued ventilation until the investigation period due to the high volume of smoke inside the building. Shortly after crews began to be released. There were no reported injuries and the fire is under investigation by the Colorado Springs Fire Department, Division of the Fire Marshal.
