Fruita Suspicious Package

On November 3rd, 2021 Lower Valley Fire District and Fruita Police Department were advised of a suspicious package near US Bank, 412 Kokopelli Blvd. A postal carrier noticed the package which had a suspicious message written on the backside. The Grand Junction Bomb Squad was dispatched to assist in identifying and rendering the package safe. After a couple of hours of investigating, the package was determined to be safe and no threat to the surrounding businesses was identified. No injuries were reported and all businesses resumed normal operations.
