Westminster Garage Fire

Around 15:45 on April 11th, 2021 Westminster Fire Department with auto-aid from North Metro Fire Rescue District to a reported structure fire in the 5600 block of 118th Pl. Westminster Communications Center advised that 911 caller reporting fire in the garage, and all occupants were evacuated safely. Engine 4 arrived to a two-story residential with active fire showing from the garage area, pulled a 1 3/4 line in for fire attack with Medic 4. Engine 62 secured the water supply to Engine 4. Battalion 1 arrived and assumed command. Truck 6 pulled a backup line in, started the primary search with Engine 61 and checked for extension on the 2nd floor. Crews got control of the fire and started an extended overhaul. The cause is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
