Westminster Grass Fire

Around 10:00 on November 19th, 2021 Westminster Communications Center dispatched Westminster Fire Department Engine 1 to a reported grass fire at Wolff Run Park, 4850 W. 78th Ave. Engine 1 arrived to a 15×15 fast moving grass fire, stretched a line for fire attack on tank water and requested additional Engine, Brush and the Battalion Chief. Truck 2 arrived at the hydrant and positioned on Xavier St. and then pulled a line between the houses for structural protection. Engine 2 positioned on W. 76th Ave. at Xavier St. for a second fire in the park and pulled a line in for extinguishment. Brush 5 and Brush 11 arrived and entered the park to assist with extinguishment and overhaul of both fires.
