Alexis Hein-Nutz Procession

On September 24th, 2022 a multi-agency law enforcement procession escorted the family of Weld County Deputy Sheriff Alexis Hein-Nutz to Foundations Church in Loveland for a private funeral service. The procession started at the Weld County Sheriffs Office in Greeley. Many people lined portions of the route to pay respects to Deputy Hein-Nutz and support her fellow officers. Hein-Nutz died on her way to work when she was struck by vehicle in a hit and run incident on Weld County Rd. 37 on September 18th, 2022. Hein-Nutz was 24 years-old and joined the Weld County Sheriff’s Office in 2018 and she was assigned as a detention deputy.
