McChesney Retiring Ceremony

Arvada Fire Department Lieutenant Tim McChesney (aka Boom Boom), retired on July 10th, 2022 after 37 years of dedicated service with the department and the community with a bell and flag ceremony that was held at Station 7. Tim is part of the Arvada Pipes & Drums and the Colorado Emerald Society where he got his nickname “Boom Boom” playing the bass drum. He has been involved with the Muscular Dystrophy Association Fill the Boot program for all of his career. In 2021, Tim worked on a program with Lake Arbor Optimists, to provide Sensory Kits for those with Autism, Alzheimer’s, and other sensory issues. Tim is a member of the Colorado Dober Motorcycle Group and helps raise funds for firefighters, police, and military family members in need of assistance. He is also a contributing photographer for 5280Fire. We wish him well on his future endeavors! Congratulations on your retirement Tim!
