Aurora Brush Fire

On May 10th, 2022 at approximately 14:29 Aurora Fire Rescue was toned out for a brush fire in the area of southbound E-470 and S. Ireland Way. While en-route Engine 14 was able to see a smoke header and requested a tender. Engine 14 arrived on scene to find smoke and fire along the side of highway. Firefighters fought 2 separate fires with both fires under control at 14:40. Crews stayed on scene for to mop up hotspots with everyone back in service a short time later.

Aurora: Battalion Chief 4, Engine 14, Brush 13 & Brush Engine 13

Cancelled: Engine 9, Engine 15, Engine 6, Brush 9, Engine 10 & Tender 15
