Aurora Apartment Fire

On August 5th, 2022 at 16:06 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a possible structure fire in the 15900 block of E. 13th Place in Laredo Highland. Engine 5 arrived to a three-story garden-level multi-family apartment complex with heavy fire and smoke showing and pulled 1 3/4 for fire attack. Battalion Chief 1 arrived and assumed command, Ladder 5 started the primary search and Engine 3 secured the water supply. Ladder 2 arrived and assigned for primary search on the 2nd floor. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control quickly and started overhaul. Three patients were transported to local hospitals with unknown injuries. The fire cause is under investigation. The American Red Cross was requested.
