Aurora Gas Leak

On November 23rd, 2022 at approximately 13:45 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported gas leak at 16052 E. Radcliff Place. Units arrived on scene, detected a strong gas odor and determined a contractor bore into a has line. The department’s hazardous materials team was dispatched to the scene. Firefighters set up hose lines and evacuated approximately 20 nearby residences. Crews were on scene about two hours while Excel capped the leak and neutralized the hazard. No injuries were reported.
