Defensive Structure Fire

On August 7th, 2022 around 15:00 Loveland Emergency Communications Center (LECC) dispatched Berthoud Fire Protection District and Loveland Fire Rescue Authority to a residential structure fire in the 5oo block of Southview Rd. off S. County Rd. 27E. Battalion Chief 61 arrived to a medium size single-story house with active fire involvement from the attic space. Firefighters worked in rain and hail at one time during the fire, and pulled several attack lines with water tender supply operations. The fire was put under control and crews started an extended overhaul. The fire cause is under investigation.
