Broomfield Plane Crash

At 12:34 on May 10th, 2022 Broomfield Public Safety Communications Center dispatched North Metro Fire Rescue District to a downed plane at the intersection of Eldorado Blvd. and Interlocken Loop in Broomfield. Crews arrived to single-engine plane down and on fire. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguished the fire and the sole person aboard the plane did not survive. The plane was a Cessna 172 that was coming in for a landing when it went down outside of the airport. Interlocken Loop was closed for several hours. The FAA and NTSB are conducting the investigation of the crash. Additional information provided by North Metro Fire Rescue District
