On June 15th, 2022 Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Berthoud Fire Protection District and Mountain View Fire Rescue conducted live fire training in a donated structure on S. County Rd. 11 in unincorporated Larimer County. The focus was to train and evaluate an ultra-high pressure pump system that is currently in service with Mountain View and will soon be in service with Loveland. The system pumps 20 GPM at up to 1200psi. Crews tested the effectiveness of the ultra-high pressure pump system on knocking down and extinguishing structure fires. Mountain View Fire currently has two of these units in service and LFRA has one on order for a quick response vehicle that will respond from Station 6 as a compliment to Tower 46. Crews conducted several initial attack operations followed by a complete burn down of the structure. Additional information provided by Loveland Fire Rescue Authority.
