Loveland Mayday Structure Fire

On November 12th, 2022 around 01:30 Loveland Emergency Communications Center (LECC) (200) dispatched Loveland Fire Rescue Authority with Poudre Fire Authority to a multi-family structure fire in the 4800 block of Basswood Drive in North Loveland. Engine 45 arrived to a medium size multi-family two-story garden level with a working fire from the 2nd floor, pulled a line in for fire attack in the offensive strategy. Engine 41 arrived and secured the water supply, Rescue 42 with Engine 42 started the primary search and Tower 46 went to the roof. A mayday was called out from a ceiling collapse. Crews knocked the fire down quickly and started overhaul. All occupants escaped the fire uninjured and several pets did not survive the fire. One firefighter was transported to the hospital for evaluation for a minor injury sustained from the ceiling collapse. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
