On May 21st, 2022 several firefighters from Merino Volunteer Fire Department participated in a Hands On Training for vehicle extrication at the Atwood Auto Salvage yard in Atwood. Members spent four hours getting familiar with tools and their capabilities again this year. It is imperative that the department stay up to date with the knowledge of all of the tools, so when the time comes they know what the limitations are. Atwood Auto Salvage provided the department with four cars to cut up.
