On August 31st, 2022 just after 11:00 Pueblo Fire Department was dispatched to the 600 block of E. 2nd St. on a reported residential structure fire. A prominent smoke column was visible across the entire district. Engine 36 arrived and sized up a small single-family residence that was fully involved, and reported immediate exposure risks on both the Bravo and Delta sides of the home. Engine 36 pulled a cross lay and began exposure protection on tank water. Engine 38 arrived and secured the water supply running a supply line to Engine 36. Safety 3 arrived and took command until Chief 3 relieved him once he arrived. Squad 81 made entry into the two threatened exposures and made quick searches to confirm no one was inside. Ladder 51 put their stick up and began aerial firefighting as the roof on the involved structure collapsed. Firefighters were on scene for just over an hour and the fire was controlled and extinguished without affecting either exposure. Additional information provided by Code 4 Photography
