Pueblo Commercial Structure Fire

On April 9th, 2022 just before 16:30 Pueblo Fire Department was dispatched by Pueblo 911 Communications Center to the area of Lake and Iowa on a reported commercial structure fire. Units were able to see dark smoke as they were leaving their stations. Engine 34 arrived to find debris burning on the Bravo-Charlie corner of the Minnequa Motel on Lake Ave. Chief 3 arrived and took command of the fire. The fire had extended into the building and access was made both through a side door and with a ladder to a window. Due the location of the exterior fire, a power pole and lines attached to it were affected and Black Hills Energy responded. Crews were on scene for over an hour overhauling the fire.
