Pueblo West Vehicle Fire

On December 27th, 2022 at 18:00 Pueblo West Fire Department was dispatched to Safeway on Market Plaza for a vehicle fire. The callers reported closer to the Cyclone Express Car Wash a vehicle had caught fire. Engine 833 arrived to find a passenger sedan with an engine compartment fully engulfed and beginning to spread to the cab of the vehicle. The crew was clearing a previous medical call and had to respond from that location and get dressed into their bunker gear on scene. Firefighters then pulled a bumper line and stretched for fire attack. Crews made a quick and successful attack and prevented the fire from spreading to the rest of the vehicle and any car wash equipment that wasn’t adjacent to the vehicle.
