Regional Mayday Training

During the week of September 12th, 2022 mayday drills were conducted at the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority training grounds. This training brought together crews from Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Berthoud Fire Protection District, and Front Range Fire Rescue across several days to allow all shifts to participate in the training. The hands-on scenarios were based on real world events. The scenarios were complete with actors making actual phone calls to Loveland Emergency Communications Center (LECC) to a dispatcher that was taking part in the exercise. The dispatcher would then page out the call to the training area and stay with command to provide support and activate mayday alerts over the radio. All three agencies have been training for several months leading up to this days long multiple scenario training day.
