Wildland Training Exercise

Summit Fire & EMS Authority, Summit County Fire Authority, and Red, White, and Blue Fire Rescue conducted a wildland training exercise in Summit Estates near Breckenridge on June 29th, 2022. Crews from both departments responded to a simulated wildland fire in a heavily wooded area at the bottom of a steep ravine. Firefighters set up an incident command, provided a size-up, requested additional resources, established an anchor point to attack the fire simulated the establishment of a fire line.
