Four Mile RV Fire

After midnight on March 25th, 2022 Four Mile Fire Protection District, Cripple Creek Fire Department and Southwest Teller County EMS were dispatched to a fully involved RV Trailer & Vehicle fire. Cripple Creek Engine 11, Southwest Teller EMS Med-2, Four Mile’s Squad 33, Engine 31 and Tender 32 were all on scene quickly. Cripple Creek’s handline crew were valiant in the initial attack and able to contain fire to area of origin. Four Mile personnel spent 3 hours performing overhaul and insuring safety for surrounding residents. Southwest Teller EMS’s crew threw on their work gloves to help pull hose and get apparatus back into service. The valley was protected from fire spread into the wildland interface.
