At approximately 17:09 on April 27th, 2022 Weld County Regional Communications Center (WCRCC) dispatched Front Range Fire Rescue to a ground cover fire between Weld County Rd. 13 and Weld County Rd. 15 on Weld County Rd. 46 in unincorporated Weld County. Upon arrival crews found a Large below grade silage pit burning with high winds. Crews attacked the fire with hose lines from Engine 2902 and Brush 2931. Tender 2942 nursed Engine 2902 and was used to fill Brush 2931. Mountain View Engine 2203 was also on scene providing personnel and traffic control. No injuries were reported, fire was contained in the silage pit.
