West Metro Commercial Fire

At 04:24 on March 18th, 2022 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a possible commercial structure fire in the 8700 block of W. Colfax Ave. in Lakewood. Engine 3 arrived on scene to a medium single-story commercial building with smoke showing and pulled a 1 3/4 for fire attack. Engine 2 secured the water supply to Engine 3, and Tower 2 started the primary search. District 1 arrived and assumed command on the Alpha-Bravo corner in the offensive strategy, and assigned Medic 11 as medical. Crews got control of the fire quickly and started overhaul. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
