The Rocky Mountain Rescue recertified their lift tickets with Med Evac on April 22nd, 2023. The lift ticket program allows the rescuers to ride in either helicopters to remote locations to help make quick access to hard-to-reach victims. The lift ticket is essentially a pass that gets a certified rescuer up in the air and to someone in need of help a lot quicker. Helicopter agencies like Med Evac and Flight for Life will drop rescuers off as close as they can to those that are injured or even be used as an eye in the sky as they look for someone who is lost or missing. The lift ticket certification process involves learning how to properly enter and exit from the helicopter, buckling up, emergency procedures if something were to happen to the helicopter, and how to properly load a patient onto the bed.
