More than 30 kids and teenagers participated in the 2023 Youth Fire Academy with Arvada Fire Protection District from June 20th to June 22nd, 2023. The three-day camp for youth aged 11-14 allowed for Arvada Fire to share fire safety education, build community connections, and inspire future generations of firefighters! On the first day of the academy, the class spent time with Truck 54, Engine 53, and our Community Risk Reduction section. They raced to put on turnout gear and took rides in bucket of Truck 56’s aerial ladder.
