Aurora Restaurant Fire

On April 13th, 2023 at 08:25 Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a reported fire at the McDonalds, 16891 E. Iliff Ave. Engine 7 arrived on scene with smoke showing from the roof and started fire attack Engine 9 secured the water supply. Ladder 6 arrived and assigned to split crews with the primary search and to the roof and Engine 6 set-up for a secondary water supply. Battalion 2 arrived and assumed command. Crews quickly contained the fire to the kitchen area and the above vent hood ventilation. All parties successfully evacuated and crews started mop up operations on the roof and in the building.  No injuries reported as a result of the incident.
