2nd Alarm Apartment Fire

On March 17th, 2023 at 12:43 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at the Montview Heights Apartments, 14319 E. Montview Blvd. Responding units observed a plume of heavy black smoke from several blocks away. Units arrived on scene, observed heavy fire coming for the second story of a multi-family residential structure and upgraded the call to a second alarm. Firefighters extinguished the fire in about twenty minutes and were on scene another forty minutes mopping up and ventilating the building. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
