Aurora Polar Plunge

The Aurora Polar Plunge was held on April 1st, 2023 at Aurora Reservoir in Aurora. Law Enforcement Torch Run gathered members of the community to join first responders and Colorado athletes to support and raise money for the Special Olympics of Colorado. Aurora Fire Rescue Heavy Rescue Team was assigned to the event as technical rescue and medical division alongside Falck to ensure the safety of all plungers during the Polar Plunge portion of the event. Participants included Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office and Aurora Police Department. Hosts of the event included Dalton Risner of the Denver Broncos and Jason Gruenauer Denver 7 reported / anchor. Funds raised from the event supports sports, health, educational, and athlete leadership programs for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
