Aurora Smoke Investigation

On February 2nd, 2023 at approximately 11:00 Aurora Fire Rescue was notified of smoke inside a building at the Bank of America, 6574 S. Parker Rd. Units clearing the Old Chicago incident on S. Parker Rd. responded. Engine 10 arrived on scene of a single-story strip mall with nothing showing. Battalion Chief 2 arrived and took command and units went interior to investigate. Ladder 13 laddered the roof with Engine 10 on the interior and exterior of the structure. Crews used a fan to ventilate the structure. Units remained on scene to make sure there weren’t any hazards. Units returned to service with no further incident. The smoke was caused by a power surge in the area.
