Boulder Bird Rescue

On May 19th, 2023 Boulder Fire-Rescue Department was called to the a building on 30th St. to help Boulder Police Animal Protection rescue a finch tangled high up in its nest. Engine 2505 arrived on scene and realized they would need a ladder truck. Engine 2506 arrived and they ended up brining the whole nest down to the ground so they could cut pieces off the bird’s leg. Animal protection transported the distressed bird to the Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center for further evaluation.
