Boulder Apartment Fire

On July 31st, 2023 at 08:02 Boulder Police & Fire Communications (9100) dispatched Boulder Fire-Rescue Department to a reported structure fire in an apartment in the 2900 block of E. Aurora Ave. Based on the information the caller reported to dispatch, Battalion Chief 2570 requested a “Fill the Box.” This entails the dispatching of a complete 1st alarm assignment. Boulder Police Officers were the first to arrive and reported smoke coming from the building. Engine 2503 arrived to a three-story multi-family apartment building with smoke showing from the 1st floor and Engine 2502 pulled a line off Engine 2503 for fire attack in the offensive strategy.
