Erie Vista Ridge Garage Fire

At 16:56 17:00 on October 22nd, 2023 Boulder County Communications (1800) dispatched Mountain View Fire Rescue and Lafayette Fire Department to a reported structure fire on Links Court in Vista Ridge Subdivision in Erie. Engine 2601 advised of a larger header from E. Baseline Rd. and N. 119th St. and Battalion 2660 requested a “Fill the Box”. Engine 2208 arrived on scene to a small two-story residential structure with a working fire from the garage and pulled attack line in for fire control. Engine 2601 arrived and assigned to pulled a 2nd line off Engine 2201 to the front door and start the primary search and check for extension. Medic 2621 secured the water supply to Engine 2201 and Battalion 2260 assumed command in the offensive strategy. Ladder 2216 started on the utilities and crews worked heavy fire in the garage with multiple vehicles on fire. Crews got the fire under control and started a extended overhaul. The cause is under investigation and no injures were reported.
