West Metro Shed Fire

At 23:15 on April 10th, 2023 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire in the 900 block of Carr St. in Lakewood. Lakewood Police officers on scene reporting that fire is in the back of the of a home possibly spreading to trees. Engine 1 arrived to a shed fire on the Charlie side and pulled 1 3/4 for fast attack. Engine 2 arrived and established a water supply from W. 10th Ave. & Carr St. Firefighters found a broken gas line on the outside of a storage shed that caused the fire. The fire damaged the shed and contents and two vehicles, but crews kept the fire from extending to other nearby structures. No injuries were reported.
