On January 4th, 2023 at 08:07 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a reported RV on fire in the 12100 block of W. New Mexico Place. Engine 4 arrived to a fully involved RV and pulled a hand line for fire attack. District 2 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy. Tower 8 secured the water supply and Medic 8 assigned as medical. Crews got the fire out and started an extended overhaul. The RV and the contents were a total loss with some radiant heat damage to the garage door and siding. West Metro investigators reported the cause of the fire was a malfunction of the propane gas refrigerator. One resident was treated for smoke inhalation on scene and no other injuries.
