Loveland Duplex Structure Fire

At 01:54 on January 30th, 2023 the Loveland Emergency Communications Center (LECC) (200) dispatched Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Berthoud Fire Protection District and Thompson Valley EMS to a reported structure fire in the 200 block of 42nd St. SW. in Campion. Engine 41 arrived to a small one-story duplex structure with a working fire and smoke showing from a vent stack and pulled a green line to the Alpha side in the offensive strategy. Battalion 41 arrived and assumed command and assigned Engine 61 with the water supply. Crews were able to contain the fire to the attic and quickly bring it under control. The occupants of both residential units safely evacuated and were assisted by LCSO Deputies. The American Red Cross was also contacted to assist the displaced residents of one unit.
