At 21:16 on September 19th, 2023 Loveland Fire Rescue Authority was dispatched to a reported structure fire on Egnar Drive in North Loveland. The 911 caller reported seeing flames and smoke coming from a garage. Rescue 42 arrived on scene of a two-story house with signs of a working garage fire. The Rescue 42 Lieutenant completed a 360 and confirmed a working fire in the rear of the garage and that all occupants had evacuated for the house. Engine 45 arrived on scene and was assigned to deploy a fog nail (small piercing nozzle) though the garage door while an interior attack line was being deployed by Rescue 42 and the remaining members of Engine 45. Engine 45 and Rescue 42 placed a smoke curtain at the front door and made entry for search and fire attack. Battalion 41 arrived on scene and completed a command upgrade from the Lieutenant of Rescue 42. Engine 43 arrived on scene and was assigned to assist with water supply and to deploy a second attack line. The Engine 45 officer reported that the fog nail had controlled the fire and requested ventilation. The Engine 41 Lieutenant was assigned as the attack group supervisor and the Tower 46 Captain was designated the support group supervisor.
