At 10:48 on August 12th, 2023 Loveland Emergency Communications Center (LECC) (200) dispatched Loveland Fire Rescue Authority to an unconfirmed commercial structure fire in the 4800 block of Thompson Parkway in Johnstown. Upon arrival crews found the fire alarm horns and strobes were activated and there was water running from the drain at the fire riser room. Access was gained to the building and no evidence of fire was found on any of the floors or on the roof. It was determined that the sprinkler system had malfunctioned. The building was turned over to a building representative and a sprinkler company was notified to respond for repairs.
