On August 29th, 2023 representatives from Rosenbauer and IKON Fire were at Golden Fire Department with the new Rosenbauer RXT electric fire engine to demonstrate the new engine and all the features including the all wheel drive and the Hendrickson adjustable air suspension with four-modes. The battery capacity has 2 Volvo Penta Batteries totaling 132 kWh of power and 3.0 Liter 300HP 6 Cylinder BMW (Clean Diesel Engine) auxiliary power backup system. The RXT engine seats up to 7.
