Douglas County Structure Fire

At 17:12 on June 21st, 2023 South Metro Fire Rescue responded to golf cart fire threatening a building located at 10101 Highland Meadow Circle in Douglas County. While crews were responding, additional 911 callers reported flames spreading to the structure and additional resources were dispatched. Upon arrival, Engine 44 found a fully engulfed golf cart with flames extending into the siding and eaves of a two-story multi-family building. A hose line was deployed, and the fire was quickly controlled, then Firefighters did a thorough check of the interior and attic to confirm there was no hidden fire. All searches were clear and no injuries occurred. The gasoline powered golf cart was recently used by maintenance staff prior the fire which was likely mechanical in nature.
