On November 11th, 2023 “The Great Turkey Gaggle” sponsored by Excalibur Outreach was held at the Appliance Factory in Westminster putting a turkey drive between Arvada Fire Protection District vs Westminster Fire Department to see which department could collect the most frozen turkeys for donation. Both departments also went head to head in the Buffalo Wild Wings blazin’ wings challenge eating contest. Westminster Fire Department came out on top of the eating contest and the turkey challenge with 228 frozen turkeys donated to 214 from Arvada Fire.
