Engine 71 Roll-in Ceremony

On May 6th, 2023 Thornton Fire Department held a dedication with a “Roll-in Ceremony.” for the new Engine 71. Part of the ceremony included the act of transferring old to new with water from the old engine was transferred to the new engine that included the “wetdown” of the engine, the blessing and then the “roll-in” into the bay for service. The new engine is a 2023 Pierce Velocity with a 750 gallon water tank and 1500 GPM pump.
