On February 25th, 2023 at approximately 23:05 Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue responded to an MVA in the 32800 block of E. Colfax Ave. in Watkins. with a possible ejection. Engine 92 enroute requested a airborne stand-by. Engine 92 and Medic 92 arrived on scene to a two-vehicle accident with heavy damage with multiple patients, one still in the vehicle possibly trapped. Engine 92 requested a 3rd medic to the scene. E. Colfax Ave. was closed at Watkins Rd. AirLife was canceled while in the air. Four patients were transported by ground with unknown injuries. Crews stayed on scene of for a short time to conduct cleanup and the investigation.
