On February 3rd, 2023 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a horse rescue with a mare that got stuck in the ice in the neighborhood near C-470 & Belleview Ave. The owner of the horse set up rescuers for success by breaking up ice to aid in the extraction the animal. However, the horse was just too weak to climb out by herself. So, Firefighters assisted until the horse was out.
