Lakewood Garage Fire

On July 20th, 2023 at 14:44 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 1400 block of S. Zephyr St. in Lakewood. Engine 3 arrived to a small single-story single-family with a working garage fire and pulled a 2 1/2 for offensive fire attack and Engine 8 set-up the water supply. District 2 arrived and assumed Zephyr command in the offensive strategy and assigned Medic 8 as medical. Crews kept the fire contained, despite heavy smoke and fire conditions. The family and three pets were home, but there were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
