West Metro House Fire

On November 26th, 2023 at 18:36 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire in the 2100 block of Willow Lane in Lakewood. Engine 5 arrived to a one-story with smoke from the eves and pulled a 1 3/4 line in for fire attack. Engine 2 secured the water supply to Engine 5 and Tower started the primary search. Crews rescued three dogs and the residents were able to get out on their own before crews arrived. District 1 arrived in command on the Alpha-Delta corner, Engine 17 pulled a 2nd line in and Medic 2 assigned as medical. Crews found heavy fire damage in the basement and smoke damage throughout the structure. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
