Westminster Structure Fire

On June 30th, 2023 at 14:57 Westminster Fire Department with North Metro Fire Rescue District responded to a possible structure fire in the 9900 block of Hoyt Lane in Westminster. Westminster Communications Center advised that 911 caller reported that lightening had hit and the house filling up with smoke and coming out of the electrical outlets. Westminster Police officers arrived and reported smoke showing from above the garage and the house is evacuated. Engine 2 arrived on the scene to a small two-story single-family dwelling with light smoke showing from the chimney area and pulled 1 3/4 for fire attack. Engine 3 arrived and assigned to check the attic space and Engine 5 secured a dry line water supply to Engine 2. Battalion 1 arrived and assumed command and assigned Truck 2 with roof ops. Crews located a fire in a wall and extinguished it quickly with minimal damage. Additional information provided by Westminster Fire Department
