Adams County I-76 Brush Fire

On June 24th, 2024 at 15:14 Adams County Fire Rescue responded to a brush fire at I-76 westbound between Lowell Blvd. and Tennyson St. Engine 1 arrived to a 100×100 brush fire spreading and requested 2 additional brush trucks to the scene. Engine 41 set-up on Tennyson St. for fire attack on the west flank and Engine 1 worked on the east flank. Engine 22 arrived and supplied water. The fire was put under control quickly and crews started an extended mop-up on hot spots. No injuries were reported and approximately an acre and a half was burned. The cause is currently under investigation. Additional information provided by Adams County Fire Rescue
