Aurora Commercial Fire

On April 14th, 2024 at approximately 09:21 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a commercial structure fire on 15355 E. Colfax Ave. While responding crews were able to see a column of smoke. The fire was upgraded and additional resources were dispatched. Engine 5 and Ladder 5 with Battalion Chief 1 arrived on scene to a medium size single-story restaurant with smoke showing. Engine 5 pulled an 1 3/4 attack line for fire attack to the Alpha side and Engine 8 secured the water supply and pulled another attack line. Ladder 5 conducted primary search and Ladder 8 went to the roof. Crews were able to keep the fire contained to the kitchen. Crews remained on scene to conduct overhaul and investigation. No injuries were reported and the business has been temporarily closed.
