On March 28th, 2024 at approximately 09:50 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to multiple reports of a commercial structure fire in the 1500 block of Kingston St. Engine 2 arrived on the scene of a three-story garden level church with heavy smoke and fire coming from the basement. The call was upgraded to a 2nd alarm but later released after the fire was quickly controlled and contained. Primary and secondary searches were completed and negative. Crews remained on the scene conducting overhaul and ventilation. Arson investigators were notified for response. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

2nd Alarm: Engine 4, Engine 6, Engine 12, Ladder 6 & Rescue 2
