Mountain View Structure Fire

At 20:58 on April 2nd, 2024 Mountain View Fire Rescue was dispatched by Weld County Regional Communications Center to structure fire in the 1600 block of Della Court in Erie. 2216 on scene two-story residential structure smoke showing from the Charlie side, easbalished their on water supply and pulled a line. Battalion 2260 arrived and assumed command. Crews found fire from the back patio that spread to the exterior of the home and then to the interior through a patio door The fire was put out within 5 minutes of getting on scene. A gas grill that may have had some kind of a malfunction causing a fire on the deck. Fire damage to the inside of the home is minimal, but residents will need to have the smoke damage remediated.
